Illustr8 Case studies: Packaging Design
In February 2006, we began working with one of the leading air freshener manufacturing companies in the UK.
illustr8 have since produced an array of product packaging and label designs, helping them to improve results within their market segment.
In June 2006, illustr8 was approached by the client to over come a problem they had with one of their packaging designs for a product that was going into a major supermarket. The brief was that they had to create a packaging design for an existing product to make the product look more exclusive to them from the same version that was sold in other major supermarkets and grocers. So we got to work redesigning the packaging for the product that didn't stray too far from the original but far enough for it to look different. We came up with three concept designs and made them into prototypes. Once the decision was made by the client we took the prototype to one of our well established printers to produce the packaging and then had it finished with the product inside as if ready for sale. The supermarket was delighted with the result and the product was repackaged into the new design to be stocked in their stores.
As well as helping the manufacturer secure the supermarket account, the new style of packaging for the product also cut down on assembly time and increased sales for our client.
